Lesotho produces high-quality agricultural products supported by its favourable climate and abundant water resources relative to other countries in the region. Deeper integration will allow improved access to South African markets, preserving and growing the economy of Lesotho through job creation and contributing meaningfully to South Africa's economy as well. Agricultural exports can become a major driver of employment and income for Basotho farmers and businesses.
